On Thursday, 23 of January of 2020 was approved almost entirely the tax reform at the Chamber of Deputies. This reform stipulated 13 articles from which just one was rejected on the basis that was not attained the legally necessary quorum, which refers to the green tax.

The tax reform was presented 17 months ago and will have to wait for at least one more week, appealing to a joint commission in order to be totally approved. This reform seeks to encourage the investment, develop a new program to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), reduce the contributions to senior citizens, create the Taxpayer Advocacy, criteria of progression and the new green tax.
